		Hooligans coming to Japan for World Cup 2002 British artist wants to get rid of Hooligans British artist Richard Jefferies offers for sale in Japan, for the first time anywhere, paintings from his private Hooligan Collection. All the most ferocious aspects of hooligan behaviour are depicted within the five paintings, documenting this culture and its violence. In this series, the depictions of Otto Dix and George Grosz of violence in day-to-day life served as a major source of inspiration to Jefferies, who spends time regularly in Berlin. 'Lustmord' it may not be, but 'Lustkampf' it certainly is. But let the work speak for itself.

イギリス人アーティスト、リチャード・ジェフェリーズ（Richard Jefferies)は、世界に先駆け日本で彼個人のフーリガン・コレクションから絵画の販売をご提供いたします。フーリガンの行動の一番凶悪な側面が5つの絵画の中で描写されており、この文化とその凶暴性が繊細に表現されています。この一連の作品の中で、日常生活の中の暴力性におけるオットー・ディクス（Otto Dix）とGeorge Grosz（ゲオルグ・グロス）の描写が、ベルリンで定期的な時間を過ごすジェフリーズにとって重要な着想の源となりました。それはフーリガンに対する「Lustmord（殺戮への欲望）」ではなく、「Lustkampf（闘争への欲望）」と呼べるものであるのは確かです。しかし、それは作品自身に語らせることにしましょう。
